What impact has Teach Outdoors had on your school?

Since taking on Teach Outdoors Schools, we’ve realised that any space can become a valuable learning environment. We have really learnt the value of a piece of chalk and imagination. We fully recognised that the concept of outdoor learning needs to grow and nurture in everybody, and so the whole-school approach has worked well for us. Subject leadership training has offered the opportunity for our teachers to work collaboratively – there is no lone voice. 

Amongst our children, we’ve noticed a buzz around lessons. The outdoors offers an extra layer to truly immerse our children, and consequently, they are engaged and learning sticks. 

What has parent feedback been like?

We’ve shared our outdoor learning journey with our parents through our twitter feed, and feedback has been great! Parents are seeing children enjoying and engaging in learning, and have noticed an increase in their mental health and wellbeing.
