We provide curriculum-linked learning experiences

We recognise that time and resources in schools are limited, and that’s why we aim to offer something different through Teach Outdoors – all of our ideas and learning resources are intrinsically linked to the curriculum. This means that you can use your own outside learning environments to teach, revisit or reinforce curriculum-focused knowledge. Perfect for providing engaging whole-class teaching or intervention programmes that will give children the knowledge and skills they need.

We offer a unique network of support

Teach Outdoors has worked in collaboration with the University of Northampton’s Changemaker Incubator Hub, in order to develop this programme. Teach Outdoors Schools is research-informed and offers a unique network of support for your school. It has been designed to up skill your team and provide opportunities for staff development through the CPD calendar, with access to specialists such as Occupational Therapists.

We award Teach Outdoors status

It’s important to us that you get the recognition you deserve for working hard to enhance your outdoor learning provision. On successful completion of the programme, your Outdoor Lead will receive Teach Outdoors Teacher Status, AND you will receive Teach Outdoors Schools status for your setting. This status demonstrates your engagement with Teach Outdoors CPD as well as your commitment to providing excellent outside learning experiences for your children across your whole school.

Our vision is to help you to embed outdoor learning in the heart of your school ethos. This means that the Teach Outdoors Schools programme has lasting impact and can be evidenced in all aspects of your school life. We are not interested in short-term ideas or quick fixes – our approach focuses on creating a vision for outdoor learning bespoke to your setting and then supporting your whole team to bring the vision to life. Outdoor learning will become a fully-integrated aspect of your school offering.
